Award Function - April 23rd, 2010

Sri Sayee Vivekananda Vidyalaya,Kodungaiyur (near Vyasarpadi) has been conducting "Vadachennayil Isai Vizha" (வடசென்னையில் இசை விழா) in North Madras from 20th of April,2010, for a duration of five days. Yesterday I was conferred upon with the title of "Arul Isai Selvi" (அருளிசைச் செல்வி) and also given the coveted "Smt.D.K.P Memorial Award".


This is the first ever Music Festival that is being conducted in that area and it was a grand affair.

I thank the school authorities for having chosen me to have been the recipient of this prestigious award, in memory of one of the greatest musicians of this era, Smt.D.K.Pattammal.

















The chief guest was Sri.Vaidyanathan, EDITOR, Dinamani Publications.

















After the award function was my concert, accompanied by Sri.Mysore Srikanth on violin and Sri.Delhi Sairam on the Mridangam.


















(Its 12.30 a.m now, I have to take a train at 6.30 a.m today to Vijayawada, I have a concert at Guntur this evening.Couldn't resist posting about the award immediately, hence did it now :-))
