It was a great honor to be chosen to receive the prestigious "Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar 2012" instituted by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
This grand function was held at Agartala on the 23rd of August, 2014.
I had the great fortune of receiving the award from Sri.P.B.Acharya, His Excellency, Governor of Tripura. (Also seen in the picture is Smt.Leela Samson, Chairperson, Sangeet Natak Akademi).

We presented a 45 minute concert.

The concert picture reminds me of: "Koluvayi Yunnade Kodandapani" in Bhairavi.
The classic award picture reminds me of one more Bhairavi keertana "Upacharamulanu Chekonavayya" and read it as Chekonavamma:-) Especially, the sentence "aparimita nava ratnamulu podigina aparanji gODugu nIkE tagunAMMA". Yes! You deserve it as much as Lord Rama deserves the nava ratna khachita goDugu.
